Dave duCille

Dave duCille, 37, is a lifelong athlete and a 1999 graduate of UMass. He is certified by NASM and is Pre & Post Natal Certified by the International Sport Sciences Association (ISSA). Dave began his professional fitness career in 2002 at NYSC 86th Street, where he quickly became one of their top trainers with his functional training philosophy. "I watched my father die of a heart attack when I was 13 years old.  He was only 46.  When I saw myself going down a similar path of unhealthiness, I knew I had to do something about it.  I was so amazed by the change that fitness brought to my life that I decided to leave my corporate life behind and make it my mission to help others with their fitness struggles."  After a catastrophic knee injury in 2005, Dave spent a year away from full time training to study Sport Psychology at Hunter College. Dave has played competitive baseball in some of the country's premier amateur leagues including the Yawkey League of Boston and the Westchester Rockland Wood Bat League.  Now retired from baseball, Dave carries a single digit handicap playing out of Pelham/Split Rock Golf Club and enjoys building and fitting golf clubs in his spare time and is also an avid cyclist who has completed numerous century rides and a 20 day, 1500 mile fully loaded, self supported charity tour to Joplin, Missouri. A native of Brockton, Massachusetts, Dave enjoys rooting for the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots in his spare time!
